miss you. already. i wonder what it will be like there?

happy birthday to my baby angel.

who will wife this girl down already!?! god damn it. here are just a few reasons why i love bianca:

1) her haaaaaaaaaaaaair

2) this twisty mashed potato dance move she does

3) she's very well traveled

4) she has the super whitest teeth ever

5) this vegan lasagna she made me one time. i literally almost had a brain melt down.

6) she's really the best when it comes to telling stories

7) she can build a bonfire

8) my one and only ever for karaoke

9) she really gets that i take my time to decide on adjectives

10) when she sort of half covers her mouth when she laughs, that is very funny

11) she knows so much about music it blows my mind

12) her voice is awesome

13) 'oh yes sure uh huh mmhmm yeah'

speaking of adorable couples that i love so much.

god they are something.

can't embed it but here are some lovely links!

three

amazing.

j love and j kens

i have to admit that i did say out loud: "Oh ew...j love what on earth..."

BUT

after reading what jamie kennedy had to say on carson daly's show, i have to say out loud: "wow what a really sweet and amazing pair they must be".

i've always adored jennifer love hewitt. i was an avid fan of kids incorporated and clearly the only girl you ever wanted to be on that show was love.

how amazing was this?

wowzers. kids incorporated was a drama? and WHAT is this song?

i'm off on a tangent now but i really like this.

i always hated that song (thanks to jesse) but i really love it so much now.

anyways here is what mr kennedy had to say about his relationship:

"We're more than dating ... we're more than in love."

"We have an intense connection," he said. Making a Twilight reference, he added, "She's my Bella. I don't want to bite her neck, but I want her to live."
Kennedy said Hewitt is "so talented. She can sing, she can dance, she's hilarious ... and hot since she was, like, 9."

He said the relationship came out of nowhere, adding that he had been "too busy" for love.

But "here's somebody that breathes life into you in a new way and makes you fuller and that's what she does to me!" he said of the actress.

"I'm in love, and I don't care!" he added. "Ryan, you knew off-the-air, because you said I seemed different to you ... it's amazing."

Of finding love, Kennedy said, "I thought something would happen in my 40s. Hollywood makes us on our own train, and it's like I have a co-conductor now."

hats off to you my friend. you are a bunny.

dinochickens are following me.

exhibit a:

jonathan read this article to me on tuesday about dr. jack horner and his island of dr. mereau bullshit. i still wholeheartedly believe dr. jack horner (sat in a corner) is made up.

exhibit b:

im reading this bryson book and, i swear to god, i open the book to where i left off and what is the next paragraph about!!?!? none other than TITANUS WALLERI, a giant dinochicken that roamed the earth millions of years ago. ugh. disgusting.

exhibit c:

my horoscope this week:

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): The closest modern relative of the Tyrannosaurus rex may be the chicken, says geneticist John Asara. He came to this conclusion after studying traces of tissue from a 68-million- year-old bone of the king of dinosaurs. I invite you to draw inspiration from this theory, Gemini. Try the following thought experiment. Envision a couple of monstrous influences from your past -- big bad meanies who hurt you or scared you. Imagine they were like Tyrannosaurus rexes back then. Close your eyes and see their faces glaring from the beast's skull. But then imagine that in the intervening months and years they have devolved and shrunk. Picture them now as clucking chickens pecking at seeds in the dirt. Can you see their faces at the top of their bobbing, feathery bodies?

WHAT THE FUCK. NO! I DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT CHICKENS. p.s. is it obvious that i hate birds and love dinosaurs?

today i joined the brooklyn public library

and boy are my arms tired!

ill tell you, joining the library was maybe the saddest thing i've ever done. first of all the library itself is smaller than my apartment. second, it was lit by florescent lights!! it was practically brand new! libraries are supposed to look like this:

i ought to be able to use the words 'hallowed institution' when referring to it. dark wood, dust, low, preferably gas-powered light, tomb-like, 764 year old librarians scourging my presence in their cathedrals of knowledge...this is what libraries are about.

at the very least they could look like this:

...i guess.

this branch however, looked something like the bastard love child of a kinko's and the creepy, awful, downright enraged feeling i get from looking at this photograph:

ugh. damn it.

this whole 'no job' thing is what lead me here in the first place. i can definitely no longer afford my book addiction so i decided 'HEY! i'll just take advantage of the free programs out there!' yes...since applying for unemployment has been such a breeze...

i'm almost through with bill bryson and in the spirit of preparing for italy i've decided that my 'c' and 'd' ought to be calvino and dante. armed as i was with my new library card i was excited that my first checkouts were already decided! no blockbuster sydrome here*!!

oh but they did not have either. not surprised.

but you know what they did have??

does this book have two titles, or just a retard for an author? my bets are on the latter.

*blockbuster syndrome is what i call not knowing what you want to rent, eat, do and you end up spending hours in blockbuster, a restaurant, life trying to make up your mind by perusing every option that could possibly be available to you EVER.

it was all worth it...

i hope he's just gentle to michelle when he breaks it to her.

want whiter teeth?

obviously the answer is just to be a black person. its like wearing a yellow bathing suit. every skin will look tanner.

clearly the look im working on this summer is to be black and in a yellow bikini.

we all need dreams.

look how good i could look!

chill OUT

people need to get over it. i'm sorry but freaking out this hard...it's like...it's like when a guy is in a relationship with a girl semi out of his league and all he does is stoke himself all day about it. just live.

when i was a kid

this was my favorite show. this and northern exposure. i think actually that american gothic filled the northern exposure void when it went off the air.

i loved this show so much. before i went to alaska with my dad 2 summers ago i actually tried to google 'cicely, alaska roslyn's cafe'. i found out that the show was actually fimed in roslyn, wa. i don't know if i've ever felt more duped in my life.

so thanks to hulu i'm now revisiting these two fine shows. and realizing that they really weren't that fine at all. at least that's the case with american gothic. as is it is with all media, i can really only be devoted to one thing at the time so i'm watching one, then the other.

the show is just...terrible. i remember when it went off the air (after one season) i could not even conceive of what t.v. executives were high on. it was the best show on television ever. now i see the light. it's almost excruciating to watch.

and by excruciating i mean so good! for some 90210 is their walk down memory lane. for me it's this.

i will say that i still retain my love for lucas black. he was my super duper crush when i was 12 (mostly because of the accent). while child lucas is someone i no longer want to go to the movies with and hold hands or maybe slow dance with, i still want to hug him to death and hope that i have sons that are this precocious. what a little baby!

as for him now

not exactly my type, but i'll tell you this: being raised in the country never EVER leaves your bones. EVER. so there is something about that accent (and that all-around hillbilly, cowboyness) that will always work.

i'm going to go out on a limb and say that northern exposure probably won't be as bad. i'm interested to see whether my favorite characters then will also still be my favorites now

oh how i loved them.

i wonder whether i'll still hate joel and maggie.

i certainly find parallels with joel and maggie and these equally annoying centerpieces:

oh get over it already. everyone knows that rose and bernard is the only couple that matters.

that's what i'm talking about.

hm. a new take on 2 girls, 1 cup.

i mean obviously these girls are joking around (and my new favorite 14 year olds) but apparently there's a new drug to be on the lookout for called jankem. i can't find the words to express how gummo'd-out this idea makes me feel.

two babies that i know

i'm going to joaquinn's expensive restaurant of corn food right now and order me some bright dishes.

and elliot needs to watch his mouth.

p.s. did you catch elliot's dad, chris on martha stewart?? if not, please click here.

p.p.s. thank god i don't belong to their family
